Donald Eugene Suddeth

Mr. Donald Eugene Suddeth, age 81, passed away Wednesday November 29, 2017 at Ogeechee Area Hospice surrounded by his loving family. He was a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, graduating from Rossville High School in 1952. Shortly after graduation he joined the United States Air Force. His specialties included aircraft mechanic, aircraft loadmaster technician and recruiter. He served in Korea and Vietnam and spent three years in the United Kingdom serving at RAF Alconbury, Mildenhall, and Lakenheath. Mr . Suddeth retired after 31 years of loyal and dedicated service to his country. He lived in Bulloch County nearly 50 years and was a member of the American Legion Post 90, a Past Master of Ogeechee Lodge #213 F&AM and a member of Register Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by the love of his life, and wife of 51 years, Linda Akins Suddeth ; sister, Edna Ruth Jones,; brothers, Charles Edward Suddeth, Douglas Bruce Suddeth and David Suddeth.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, James and Stacy Suddeth, and family, of Register and sister, Elizabeth Bennevente, of San Antonio, TX.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday December 2, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with the Reverend Carl Ledbetter officiating. Visitation will be held at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home immediately following the service.

Inurnment will be private.
