Mrs. Bonnie Batchelder Lynch passed away early Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. Born in Orlando, FL the Orange County native was a member of the St. Mathews Catholic Church in Statesboro. She was a founding member of the Bulloch County Humane Society and was a key volunteer in the Project Literacy Program and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Bonnie worked at Bulloch Memorial Hospital for over ten years as a Lab Supervisor. After she graduated from Georgia Southern with bachelors in Education, she went on to get her Masters in Adult Literacy at Georgia Southern. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Franklin Batchelder.
She is survived by her husband of thirty one years, James W. Lynch, Jr.; her son, James Cameron Lynch; her daughter, Meghan Mary (David) Woods; granddaughter, Mary Jaelyn Woods; and her foster dog Daisy, all of Statesboro.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 10:00 AM at Elam Baptist Church in Jenkins County with Father Mike Smith officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Bulloch County Humane Society or Project Literacy.
