William Morgan

12/12/1925 - 9/21/2022 William Morgan passed away on Sept. 21, 2022, at age 96. Visitation is at Casey's Funeral Home, 350 Slosson Ave, SI , NY 10314, on Monday, Sept. 26, from 4 to 8 p.m. The funeral is on Tuesday, Sept. 27, at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Born in Manhattan, William attended Harmen High School, NYC. A World War II veteran, he loved his country and joined the Army at 16 years old under his brother's name (George) to fight in the war. After the war he married his sweetheart Jane Bartlett . They were married 43 years. William enjoyed a 43 year career as a Longshoreman in Manhattan. After his retirement he worked within NYCHA for 23 years at various Staten Island locations. He was beloved by everyone because of his Non-Stop work ethic and eventually stopped at 85 years old. He was an avid Crossword and Jumble puzzler and enjoyed vintage black and white Films and music. He loved his family and friends . He was kind, loveable and had a Great Sense of Humor with a heart of Gold. He is survived by his daughter Eileen Schacht & his sons William Morgan and Michael Morgan. His Grandson Keith Schacht, Granddaughter, Lindsay Morgan. Son-in-Law Robert Schacht & Daughter-in-Laws Joan Morgan & Lisa Morgan.
