Virginia Maina was born Virginia Lennon on May 29, 1929, in Brooklyn, N.Y., and passed away Nov. 5, 2019, in Staten Island at the age of 90.
She was predeceased by her father, John Joseph Lennon; mother, Mary Agnes Doherty; brother, John Joseph Lennon Jr. and her beloved husband, Michael J. Maina Sr.
Virginia had a long career with the Catholic Church as a school teacher in the N.Y. school system.
Visitation is Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Casey Funeral Home, S.I., with a service at 3:30 p.m. Monday.
