Thomas Hughes

Thomas was born in Brooklyn and the family moved to Perry Avenue in the Meiers Corner

section of Staten Island when he was a kid.

He is predeceased by his parents Philip and Helen Hughes and his sister Linda Hansen.

He is survived by his children. His son Mark and his wife Mindy and their children Jack and

Parker. His daughter Stacey and her husband Jon and their children Jonny, Kelsey and Jake.

His daughter Amy and her two children. He is also survived by his brother in law Jack Hansen

and his nephew John and his former wife Carol.

He worked for the NYPD for over 30 years and then the US Marshall Service for 15 years before

retiring. He coached and mentored both baseball and softball for over 20 years at Snug Harbor

where he will be missed.

He enjoyed vacationing on Long Beach Island with family and friends.

He was a parishioner at Blessed Sacrament.

A visitation for Thomas will be held Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Casey Funeral Home, 350 Slosson Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314.
