Susannah Yates, 90, of Westerleigh, Staten Island, N.Y., passed away on Feb. 6, 2017, at Seaview Nursing Home.
The viewing is on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Casey Funeral Home, 350 Slosson Ave., Staten Island. The funeral service is at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church on Forest Ave., Staten Island. Interment will be at St. Peter's Cemetery in Staten Island.
Susannah was one of 10 siblings and is survived by four, Anna, Charles, Dora, and James. She was born in Newfoundland, Canada, and is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews of Canada and the U.S. She was married to the late William Yates, who passed away in 2001.
She was a devout Roman Catholic. She was extremely religious and belonged to many prayer groups. Including Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church, she was active at Holy Family R.C. Church and St. Roch's R.C. Church, both of Staten Island.
