Longtime Todt Hill resident
Susan Volpe, 96, formerly of Staten Island, passed away peacefully at Woodcliff Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center on April 24.
She was born in Manhattan in 1920 to Joseph and Angelina Pasquale and was the third of seven children. She married the love of her life, John Volpe, in 1946. They moved to Todt Hill, Staten Island, where she lived for over 60 years.
She loved gardening, the beach and cooking for her family.
She is survived by her two sons, Lawrence (Barbara) and Stephen (Doreen); granddaughters, Michelle Solgan (Christopher) and Jeanette Volpe, and a loving great-grandson, Jack.
Funeral is from Casey Funeral Home, 350 Slosson Ave. (Castleton Corners), on Thursday.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:45 a.m. at St. Teresa R.C. Church. Interment is in St. Peter's Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
