Susan Guarino

Susan Guarino, 66, of Grasmere, Staten Island, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her children on Nov. 28, 2016. Susan was born and raised in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, and was a graduate of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Susan was an executive secretary for Farrell Line before leaving to raise her children. Susan moved to Staten Island in 1978 to raise her family. She was a homemaker, who deeply loved watching her children grow up. She loved to travel, shop, and spend time with family and friends. Susan is survived by her beloved children, Jonathan Guarino and Jillian Benfield; grandchildren, Riley and Jake Benfield, Vincenzo Guarino; siblings, Robert Verde, Catherine Diorio, and Patricia Santostefano. A visitation is to be held at Casey Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass is Thursday 9:30 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, Staten Island.
