Roy P. Sykes, age 69, of Staten Island, New York passed away on Tuesday, April 4th after a brief illness surrounded by family. Roy is the son of the late Raymond G. and Rita Sykes. He is survived by his siblings, Raymond J. Sykes (Nancy), Jacquelyn R. Boyle (John), Ann Sykes Meldrum (Michael), Joseph Sykes (Alberta), Edmund Sykes (Celeste), Rita de la Pena (Robert) and Kelly Ann Hartmann (John) as well as many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Roy will be held on Monday, April 10, 2023 from 4pm to 8pm at Casey Funeral Home, 350 Slosson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10314. On Tuesday, Aprill 11th a Mass of Christian burial will occur at 10:30AM at Sacred Heart Church, 981 Castleton Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10310 followed by a burial at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
