Rosemarie Antonette Tumminello, 85, of Staten Island, N.Y., passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 8, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Staten Island, N.Y., a spunky woman to the core, Rosemarie found true love in her beloved husband, Frank and son Jeffrey.
Rosemarie was a devoted mother and grandmother. Without a doubt, her family was the center of her universe- her pride and joy. She was an avid bowler in her younger years. Rosemarie also enjoyed her trips to various casinos, vacations to Florida, listening to music, reading, and watching both Fox 5 as well as her reality TV shows. Her quick wit and larger than life personality made her so much fun to be around. The best part about Rose was that you never had to guess what she was thinking…she wore her heart on her sleeve. Additionally, Rosemarie enjoyed cooking delicious meals for her family, especially her famous meatballs and secret Italian sauce. Rose spent many years preparing extravagant feasts for her family to enjoy on Christmas Eve.
Rose is preceded by her loving husband, Frank Tumminello; brother, Robert (Sonny) Brown; parents, Christine and David Brown; sister, Rosemarie (Bubsie) Hoshowsky; stepdaughter, Lorraine Margolis; great grandson, Jack Tumminello; many loving sister and brother in laws; and nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her devoted son, Jeffrey Tumminello and his wife Stacey; stepchildren: Frank Tumminello and his wife Nancy, Marie Ogden, Liza Piccolini, and Michael Margolis; adoring brother, David Brown and his wife Mary Anna; loving in laws: Thomas, Terri, Michael, Charles, and Linda Tumminello; loving grandchildren: Nicholas, Justin, Anthony, Shannon, and Samantha Tumminello, Jessica and David Lamb, Nicole and Paige Ogden- Chambers; great grandchildren: Frank, Talia, and Grayson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. All of which will miss her greatly.
“Those who touch our lives, stay in our hearts forever.”
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 18, 2022 from 12-4 pm at Casey McCallum Rice South Shore Funeral Home on Staten Island, N.Y. 10308.
