The Cummings family expresses with deepest sorrow that beloved Roberta Cummings has passed away at the age of 81 on April 29, 2018, at home. Roberta was born in New York City. She lived in the Midland Beach neighborhood. She attended PS 11 and the Textile High School, both in Manhattan. Roberta worked for a time as a purchasing agent and later a receptionist for Golay Buchel, a wholesale jeweler. She enjoyed traveling; and especially liked to go on cruise ships.
Roberta is survived by her two children, Robert Jr. & Lisa Cotto ( and Ruben). Grandchildren: Jason (& Cristina) & Danny ( & Mirlinda), and a great-grandchild, Aubrey-Ella. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Sr. in 1997.
Visitation will be held at Virginia Funeral Chapel on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m.
On Friday, May 4th, a Mass will be held at St. Margaret Mary’s Church at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
