

Robert J. Morano, 87, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2025. Born on December 26, 1937, in Brooklyn, New York, Robert spent most of his life in Queens before settling in Staten Island in his later years. Robert served his country honorably in the United States Army, embodying the values of dedication, sacrifice and strength.
Robert dedicated much of his career to Fontbonne Hall Academy, in Brooklyn, NY, where he served as a respected Custodial Supervisor. After many years of devoted service, he retired, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and respect within the school community.
A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Elsa Morano; loving daughters, Roberta Morales and Melissa Costa; son-in-law, Joseph Costa; dear brother and sister-in-law, John and Rita Morano, cherished grandchildren, Abbey, Justine, John, and Joseph Jr., and many loved nieces and nephews.
A lifelong sports enthusiast, Robert found great joy in cheering on his favorite teams, playing baseball and sharing game-day excitement with family and friends. Robert will be remembered for his compassion, generosity and unconditional love for his family. He was a fun-loving man who enjoyed making people laugh with his corny jokes and tongue twisters. He loved dining out, blues music and dancing.
His presence brought warmth and joy to those who knew him and his legacy lives on in the hearts of his beloved family, his friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His unwavering love, strong moral compass, and joyful spirit will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
