Predeceased by parents Therese and Donald O'Shea, he is survived by the love of his life, his daughter Erin McKenna O'Shea, as well as siblings Marydonna (Thomas) Baranoski, Regina O'Shea- Elliott ( Daniel), Laura, ( Charles O'Bryan) and Donald ( Alicia), as well as nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
A graduate of Susan E Wagner HS, he received a Navy ROTC scholarship to the University of Rochester from which he graduated before proudly serving in the United States Marine Corps, achieving the rank of captain. After the USMC he served his country at the Department of Defense . He later received his masters degree from Wagner College and started a second career in education at I.S.27 .
He was a life long student of naval history and an avid reader. He was an active member of Sacred Heart Parish, teaching CCD, serving as an usher, and as a member of the Holy Name Society.
As a father, son, and brother he exhibited strength, selflessness and love.
A private service is planned due to current public health concerns.
Donations may be made to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Staten Island, in his honor.
