Born Peggy Petti in Brooklyn, she moved to Grasmere in 1992, and settled in Great Kills a few years later.
Mrs. Solitario was a homemaker who cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She also enjoyed the opera and theater,
Her husband, Carmine, died in 2010.
Surviving are her son, Dominick; three daughters, Diane Fragapane, Dolores Campanella and Doreen Solitario; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Friday from the Casey McCallum Rice South Shore Funeral Home, Great Kills, with an 11 a.m. mass in St. Clare's R.C. Church, also in Great Kills. Burial will follow in All Faiths Cemetery, Queens.
