Peggy Reilly-Camoia passed away on Thursday evening, March 16th at Richmond University Medical Center, Staten Island, NY. Peggy was born on October 3, 1947 to the late Mary Gillen and Frank Reilly. She grew up in Park Slope, Brooklyn with a wide circle of friends, some from as early as kindergarten, they are still close today.
She married Frank Camoia, her childhood sweetheart. She and Frank loved to travel, spending many vacations in the Caribbean islands. Peggy loved her garden and was an expert interior decorator. She and Frank loved their Labrador Retrievers Belle and Sadie. Before retiring in 2010, Peggy was an office manager for Rau Fastener and worked in finance at UBS. She was the primary caretaker of her sister Mary (Sissy) and her mother for many years.
She was predeceased by her brother Frank and her sister Mary, brother-in-law, Bob Gullickson and her nephew, Lt. Joseph Gullickson FDNY who died on 9/11/2001 and is survived by her sisters Pat Gullickson, Joanne Driscoll (John) and Kathleen O’Shea (Joseph). seven nieces and nephews and 17 great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 20th from 2pm to 5pm and 7pm to 9pm at Harmon Funeral Home 571 Forest Ave. Staten Island, NY. There will be a funeral mass on Tuesday, 10am, March 21st, at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1091 Forest Ave, Staten Island, NY, followed by internment at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Staten Island.
