She met her future husband, John Busso, ice skating on Brady Pond when she was just a freshman at Port Richmond High School. Patricia went on to work in a bank in Manhattan. Following her wedding to John in 1963, she became a full-time mom and homemaker. Patricia and John had 2 daughters, Lisa (Busso) Grossman in 1970 and Danielle Busso in 1986.
Patricia was a lifelong Catholic and attended Our Lady of Good Counsel Church every Sunday. Each Monday she and her daughter Danielle would go back to church to count the money collections. A member of the Columbiettes for a few decades, Patricia recently held position of Treasurer. This weekly activity was very important to her. She also loved going to plays and concerts, taking walks along the boardwalk in South Beach, going to eat at Perkins and spending time with friends and family.
Her greatest pride were her grandchildren – Jonathan 19, Brianna 18, and Ethan and Nathaniel 15. She was a fun and influential part of their lives and they will treasure all the wonderful memories they shared with their grandmother.
Patricia passed away after a brief time in hospice, after a valiant battle with stage 4 cholangiocarcinoma for the past 6 months. Her greatest wish was to remain strong and independent to the end. The family takes great comfort that Patricia will be reunited with John once again.
