Nancy Jones

March 2, 1941 - Nov. 16, 2019

Nancy Jones, currently of Danbury, CT, formerly of Staten Island, NY, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Nov. 16, 2019 after a brief illness.

Nancy is survived by her beloved husband, Lenny Jones, and three daughters; Lisa Hanratty, Regina Van Blenis and Tara Lendener. Nancy was a fiercely devoted grandmother to her eight grandchildren, a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews and a loyal friend to many.

Nancy spent more than 30 years tremendously enjoying her work with the special needs community, first at the Hungerford School and more recently at Lifestyles for the Disabled on Staten Island. Nancy retired just this year prior to moving to be closer to her children and grandchildren in Connecticut.

Visitation will be at Casey Funeral Home on Slosson Ave. on Wednesday, Nov. 20, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled at St. Roch Church on Port Richmond Avenue at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21. Entombment at Cemetery of the Resurrection will follow the Mass.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
