Maureen B. Ahearn

Maureen Ahearn, 84, passed away on May 19, 2022, at Staten Island University Hospital.

Born as Maureen Burke in Manhattan, New York. She resided in Brooklyn, New York as a child until settling in Great Kills over 45 years ago. Prior to retirement, Maureen worked as an executive assistant for a variety of top financial firms.

Mrs. Ahearn loved to spend time with family and friends. She also enjoyed watching soap operas and caring for animals.

She is predeceased by her husband, John Ahearn. She is survived by her four children John, Donna, Scott, and Laura; as well as her grandchildren Krista, Christopher, Sean, Catherine, and Meghan.

A visitation for Maureen will be held Monday, May 23, 2022, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Casey McCallum Rice South Shore Funeral Home, 30 Nelson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10308. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, May 24, 2022, from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM, 30 Nelson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10308. A committal service will occur Tuesday, May 24, 2022, from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at Ocean View Cemetery, 3315 Amboy Road, Staten Island, NY 10306.
