Mary B Parello

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Mary attended St. Agatha's School and Bay Ridge High School. She was a stenographer at Goodbody and a teller at Staten Island Savings Bank until she started her family. She attended St. Joseph's Church in Rosebank, S.I., and enjoyed reading, baking and bowling.

Mary's grandchildren brightened her life. She had triplet granddaughters who have just started college and her Mikey Boy who was her soccer star. She attended every game, school play and awards ceremony because she was so proud of them.

Mary married Frank Robert Parello in 1962; he passed away in 2015. She is survived by son Robert (Gail); daughter Lynn Benzak (Damien); and grandchildren, Nicole, Justine and Cassandra Parello and Michael Benzak.

Visiting is 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26, at Casey Funeral Home. Funeral Mass is on Friday, Oct. 27, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, 463 Tompkins Ave., S.I., 10305.
