Mary T. O'Farrell

Mary Teresa O'Farrell Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, 92 Mary Teresa O'Farrell, 92, of Westerleigh, passed away peacefully at home in the company of her four daughters on August 10, 2021. Mary was the devoted wife of the late William (1997). She was the cherished mother of Eileen, Maura, Annette Lynch (Brendan) and Imelda Moriarty (Kevin). She was a loving grandmother to Megan, Fiona (Jim), Sinead, Heather, Brendan, Kaitlin and a great-grandmother to Jacob. Mary was a dear sister of Ann McCauley, Greta Biwe and Patrick Quinn. Mary is survived by many loving nephews and nieces, particularly Ann Quinn Syrett, who was a great source of comfort and care during her final days. Mrs. O'Farrell was born in Ballinakilllew, Donegal, Ireland. She was a caring foster mother for the New York Foundling Hospital in the 1960s. She later worked with Visiting Nurse Association and St. Vincent's Hospital, retiring in 1997. She was a member of St. Rita Quilters Group, Holy Family Rosary and Altar Society, AOH Ladies Div 1 and Ladies of Charity. Viewing at Casey Funeral Home, Slosson Avenue, August 13 from 3 to 7pm.
