Marie Savio

Marie Josephine Petrizzo Savio, 99 passed away peacefully on November 15, 2022. Her beloved husband Bill Savio passed away on March 29, 2002. She was the loving Mother of Bill Savio, Andrea Savio, Denise Gargano and Richard Gargano.

Marie was the proud grandmother of her five grandchildren Billy, Christopher, Andrew, Matthew and Nicole. Her ten great children were the light of her life William, Grace Marie, Francesca, Gabrielle, Vincenzo, Julianna, Victoria, Francesco, Pasquale and Angelina Marie. She has many nieces and nephews who adored her.

Marie was born on May 15, 1923 in Brooklyn, New York. She was just 6 months shy of her 100th birthday.

Marie was very religious and found comfort praying every day of her life and going to Mass. She was “Everyone’s Mother” and everyone loved her. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her family and friends. Hospitality was her speciality. Marie absolutely loved to shop especially at A&S and Macy’s. Marie was a very classy lady. If there was a bargain, Marie would find it!

Marie’s cooking, generosity and heart of gold will be missed by everyone.

Wake will be at Casey’s Funeral Home, 350 Slosson Avenue on Thursday November 17 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Friday, November 18 at St. Rita’s, 281 Bradley Avenue at 10:00 am. Her Final Resting will be at

Calvary Cemetery in Queens, NY.

. A burial will occur Friday, November 18, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Calvary Cemetery, 49-02 Laurel Hill Boulevard, Woodside, NY 11377.
