Born July 30, 1937 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Fred D'Auria and Helen Tompko, she moved to Staten Island after her marriage and resided in Great Kills. She worked for over 35 years at St. Clare School as the school secretary where she was loved and adored by all. In 2018, she moved to Seabrook Senior Living Community where she lived until her death.
She is twice widowed, first by her husband Hank Dey and second by her husband Matthew Marabello.
Marie loved her large, extended family and looked forward to traditional Italian holiday gatherings. In her spare time she enjoyed stamping and gardening, a hobby she continued passionately until her passing.
Marie is survived by her son John, her sister Debbie Cooper, her niece and nephew, Kayllie Felske and Chad Cooper and many cousins.
Arrangements are being handled by Casey McCallum Rice South Shore Funeral Home, 30 Nelson Avenue Staten Island NY 10308. Visitation is 4-8PM Wednesday, September 13, 2023. Mass of the Christian Burial 11AM Thursday, September 14, 2023 St. Clare Church Staten Island, New York.
