Born in Cuba, Conchita had lived in West Brighton since 1968, when she emigrated from Spain. Trained as a public accountant, she worked as an auditor in Cuba and as a credit manager at Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A. in Manhattan. She was a former member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish Council and a former member of the Richmond County Medical Society Auxiliary, where she served as president and long-time treasurer.
