Former hospital administrator and Director of Laboratories at Monmouth Medical Center, Monmouth NJ, Margaret O’Neill (Rotondo), 62, of Staten Island, NY, passed away October 6, 2022, at Staten Island University Hospital North surrounded by her loving family after a long and heroic battle with ALS. Born in Brooklyn and longtime resident of Staten Island, Maggie began working as a Medical Technologist and Assistant Laboratory Director at The Methodist Hospital, Brooklyn, NY before taking on the director positions at Irvington General Hospital and Monmouth Medical Center in N.J.
She was predeceased by her father, Richard Corney and is survived by her mother, Margaret Corney, her husband of 30 years, Paul Rotondo, her children, Barbara O’Neill, William O’Neill and Paul Conor Rotondo, her son and daughter in laws, Juan Segura, Cory O’Neill and Elizabeth Rotondo, her three grandchildren, Abigail Segura, Olivia Segura and Emily James Segura as well as her siblings, Richard Corney, Debra Kwapich, Clare Madeira and Thomas Corney. Along with many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a viewing on Sunday, October 9th from 2- 6 PM at the Casey McCallum Rice South Shore Funeral Home, 30 Nelson Avenue, Staten Island, New York 10308. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 10th, at 10:00 am at the Church of the Holy Child, Roman Catholic Church, 4747 Amboy Rd, Staten Island, NY 10312. Private Cremation will be held under the direction of the Casey McCallum Rice South Shore Funeral Home.
