Lynda Agro

With profound sadness, we share the passing of Lynda Agro, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and Mema to all whose lives she touched. She passed peacefully at her home early Tuesday morning, January 11th, 2022 with her daughter, Melissa, and two sons, Jerry Jr. and Michael, by her side.

Lynda was born and raised in Staten Island, NY, she graduated from Port Richmond High School in 1963. She went on to become a nurse's aid and enjoyed caring for patients at Doctors Hospital. In 1973, Lynda married her beloved husband, Gerald Agro and they started their lives together, raising three children. Loved by all that knew her, Lynda cherished her family above all else. She enjoyed playing card games, especially Rummy 500 but mostly enjoyed the company of her grandchildren, family and loved ones.

Lynda was predeceased in death by her huband Gerald Agro. She leaves behind her daughter, Melissa Gallina and husband, Salvatore, of Staten Island; Sons, Michael Agro, of Staten Island and Jerry Agro Jr. and fiancé Krysten Long, of Hazlet, NJ; grandchildren Gianna, Joseph and Francesca, Kayleigh and Ryan; Sister, Joan Scheib; Sister in-law, Marylou Heffran; Brother-in-law, Kenneth Heffran and nephew, Ken Heffran Jr; Sister in-law, Cindy Driscol, Nieces Kristin Driscol Alfonso, Kate Kunkle and nephew Frank Loprest.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation for Lynda Thursday, January 13, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Casey Funeral Home, 350 Slosson Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314. A funeral service will occur Friday, January 14, 2022 from 10:45 AM to 11:45 AM at St.Teresa's Church, Victory Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10314. A burial will occur Friday, January 14, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at St. Peter's Cemetery, 52 Tyler Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10310.
