Laura DiFilippo, 96, of Brighton Heights died Jan. 16, 2018.
Born in Teramo, Italy, Laura came to the U.S. in 1952, and settled in Staten Island.
Her hobbies included cooking, sewing and crocheting. She spent her days cooking for her family.
Surviving are her sons, Oswald, Joseph and John; daughter-in-law, Patricia; granddaughter, Julie and her husband, Tobias.
Services are being handled by Casey Funeral Home, 350 Slosson Ave., Staten Island. Visitation is Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass is Saturday at Mt. Carmel-St. Benedicta Church at 9:30 a.m. Interment is in Cemetery of the Resurrection.
