Kevin Mooney

Kevin Mooney, 66, of Castleton Corners, Staten Island, N.Y., passed away on May 7, 2016. Viewing will be held at Casey Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 10, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:45 a.m. at St. Theresa's Church, 1634 Victory Blvd., Staten Island, on May 12. Interment will take place in St. Peter's Cemetery. Kevin graduated from Monsignor Farrell High School in 1968. He was also an avid New York Jets fan. Kevin was predeceased by his parents, William and Julia Mooney. He is survived by his sisters, Jacqueline Mooney, Joan Kempf (George), and Eileen Occinio; brothers, Robert (Bonnie), and the late William (Cheryl), and many nieces and nephews. Kevin was a retired firefighter for the Fire Department of New York City. He enjoyed playing softball and golf and played for Staten Island Touch Tackle, Hugos, and Los Bombaros Softball. He also a member Brevard County, Fla., FDNY Retirees.
