STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Kathleen Mary Masinski, 33, of Great Kills, who will be remembered as generous and loving, died Friday in Staten Island University Hospital, Princes' Bay.
She was a lifelong Great Kills resident.
Ms. Masinski graduated from St. John's Villa Academy, Arrochar, where she was a cheerleader and played soccer.
She earned a bachelor's degree in education from the College of Staten Island, Willowbrook.
Ms. Masinski was fond of her pet dog "Daisy." She liked to read and enjoyed fashion.
She was generous, considerate and cherished her friends from her youth, family said.
She was also close with her brother Kevin, they added.
Ms. Masinski was a parishioner of St. Clare's R.C. Church, Great Kills.
In addition to her brother, she is survived by her parents, Arthur and MaryAnn Masinski.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the Casey McCallum Rice South Shore Funeral Home, with a mass at 9:45 a.m. in St. Clare's Church, both in Great Kills. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
