John Francis Monahan of New Brighton, Staten Island 66 Years of Age, sadly and peacefully passed away Monday, August 29th 2022. He outlived his close relatives and dear wife Concetta Monahan. He is Survived by three children, his oldest daughter Sharon Fitzgerald, his son Terrence Monahan, youngest daughter Veronica Martinez, and four grandchildren. John was a veteran of the Coast Guard, retired Police Officer, and retired Theatrical Teamster. John was Incredibly Strong, Courageous, and had a Unique Sense of Humor. He had a passion for Education, Music, and a deep love for History Books, Science Fiction novels and movies. John loved going out especially at the Beach and enjoyed his time with friends as well as spending Quality time with his Grandaughters. There will be a service celebrating John's life on Wednesday September 7th and Thursday September 8th from 4pm to 8pm at Casey's Funeral Home followed by a 10am Funeral Mass on September 9th
