Helen Costello

Helen was the beloved aunt of Thomas Farrell (Lisa), Roberta DiVulo (Thomas) and Marion Anderson (Robert). She was the loving great-aunt of seven grand- nieces and -nephews.

A graduate of St. Peter's High School for Girls, Helen attended St. Vincent's School of Nursing in Manhattan, graduating in 1957. She received her B.S. degree and her master's degree in nursing from Wagner College.

Helen began her career at St. Vincent's Hospital in Manhattan, then came to St. Vincent's Hospital in Staten Island in the pediatric ward. She then taught pediatric nursing at St. Vincent's Nursing School, S.I., for over 40 years.

Helen enjoyed travel, crocheting, and reading, and especially time spent with her grand-nieces and -nephews.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Monday, Jan. 8, at Sacred Heart Church, S.I., at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Peters Cemetery.

Friends will be received in the Casey Funeral Home, 350 Slosson Ave., Castleton Corners, on Sunday, Jan. 7, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
