Grace D. Ward, 104, of Staten Island, N.Y., passed away at home on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016. Grace was born on Jan. 19, 1912, on Staten Island to Peter and Bertha Wangenstein. She was the loving wife to the late Thomas F. Ward for 60 years and loving mother to the late Thomas P. Ward. Grace worked for the Rockefeller Foundation in Manhattan and was secretary for her husband at the Ward Agency. She devoted her life as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Grace was avid golfer and a member of the Silvettes, a women's golf organization. She was a member of YMCA and enjoyed her time there. A religious woman, Grace attended Mass with her daughter daily, was devoted to her faith and was a parishioner of St. Teresa's Church. Grace loved spending time with her two dogs, Teddy and Peety. She is survived by her three daughters, Maureen Gallo (Bob), who lives in Pennsylvania; Patricia Ward and Diane Ragusa (Danny), who live on Staten Island; and three grandchildren, Melinda Ragusa, Colleen Gallo-Knight and Robert Gallo. She has five great-grandchildren, Ellington Beatty, Niall Beatty, Robert Gallo, Jr., Grace Gallo, and Coleson Knight. Friends may visit on Friday, Nov. 18, between 2 and 9 p.m. at the Casey Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 19, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Teresa Roman Catholic Church. Interment is in St. Peter's Cemetery
