He graduated High School in Italy. He arrived in America alone in 1951 at the age of 17 from Palmi, Italy.
Met his future wife Josephine (nee Portelli) in 1952 and they married in 1955 and were married for 67 years. He worked in the Garment Industry in Manhattan as a Presser. He Loved travelling with his Wife all over the country, but especially Loved Atlantic City & Las Vegas. He resided on Staten Island since Feb. 1966
An avvid Mets Fan, Living & Dying w/Every Game, Every Pitch, Every At Bat. We went to many Mets games over the years, but he never forgot his first Love "Calcio" or Soccer & would watch whenever possible on the Italian TV channel.
Many times he told me one of his Proudest Moments was the day he became an American Citizen.
He would say he Loved his Homeland Italy, but he Loved America even More.
Frank is survived by Loving Family, Wife Josephine Bagala, and 3 children Rita Bagala, Saverio Bagala & Richard Bagala.Daughter in laws Maria Bagala & Christina Bagala and Grandchildren Richard Bagala & Gabriella Bagala.
Everyone who knew Frank Bagala fell in Love with him, he always had a perpetual smile on his face, and his joyful face and smile will be remembered by so many.
A visitation for Frank will be held Sunday, October 23, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Casey McCallum Rice South Shore Funeral Home, 30 Nelson Ave, Staten Island, New York 10308. A funeral mass will occur Monday, October 24, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Clare's Church, 110 Nelson Ave, Staten Island, New York 10308. A burial will occur Monday, October 24, 2022 at 12:30 PM at Ocean View Cemetery, 3315 Amboy Rd, Staten Island, NY 10306.
