Frances Clark

June 27, 1940 - May 12, 2020

Frances Clark, a lifelong resident of Staten Island, N.Y., was called home to heaven on Tuesday, May 12 2020. Her loving sons and extended family watched over her during recent years as dementia gradually ended her life at the age of 79.

Frances is survived by her sons Robert & Joseph, daughter-in-law Lisa, grandchildren Brendan and Lauren, sister Dorothy, and nieces and nephews.

Frances was born in Staten Island, N.Y., on June 27, 1940. As a young child she enjoyed studying accordion with the famous player Myron Floren, and performed many times with ensembles and as a soloist. Frances met Joseph Clark in the Staten Island Ski Club. They married and raised their sons in New Dorp. As an adult, Frances took up painting, producing many fine floral portraits. She also joined the singing group Sweet Adelines, enjoying many friendships and competitive singing performances.

A private interment will be held with her family, A Memorial Service to celebrate her wonderful life will be held at a later date as the ability for people to gather resumes.
