Born in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, she grew up in Bensonhurst and graduated from St. Brendan's High School. She moved to Port Richmond 25 years ago.
Ms. Scotto worked in an administrative position for the U.S. Army for more than 20 years before retiring nine years ago.
She enjoyed playing bingo and cards with friends, and enjoyed visits to Las Vegas and Atlantic City.
Though she had no children of her own, family said she was devoted to her nieces, Lauren and Kayla Burrier, and her nephew, Walter Burrier.
Ms. Scotto is survived by a sister, Catherine.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Casey McCallum Rice Funeral Home, with a mass at 10:15 a.m. in St. Clare's R.C. Church, both Great Kills. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Queens.
