Eileen Iovino

Eileen Iovino (nee Nicotra), 79, of Staten Island, formerly of Brooklyn, passed away on April 1,2024 with her family and friends beside her.

Eileen was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Catherine Nicotra and was the baby of 4 children. She is predeceased by her husband Emileo Iovino, they were married for 40 years before his passing in 2008. She is also predeceased by her brother Lawrence Nicotra and sister Judith Cosimano.

Beloved mother of James Iovino (Tracey) and Jennifer Van Sant. Eileen leaves behind her beloved grandkids Jeffrey Jr. and Jessica Van Sant & Emileo and Lily Iovino. She is also survived and beloved by her brother Richard Nicotra, brother in law Dominic Iovino and his wife Lynn, brother in law Bob Lohman, sister in law Filomenia Powers and all her nieces and nephews that adored her.

Our mom enjoyed her dinners out whether it be with family or friends. She loved watching her Blue Bloods, Law and Order, Shades of Blue and NCIS to name a few. Mom was known for her big hoop earrings and she loved to dance. Cooking holidays meals and Sunday sauce was one of her favorite things to do and she was good at it, but her true passion was her love for her family, she was a loving mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed but we are at peace to know that she is finally reunited with her husband that she talked endlessly about for 16 years.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Harmon Funeral Home located at 571 Forest Avenue, Staten Island, NY. Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, April 5, 2024, at 10:0 a.m. at St. Ann’s Church on Cromwell Avenue, Staten Island, NY, followed by the burial at Ocean View Cemetery, 3315 Amboy Road, Staten Island, NY.
