Dorothy Ianniello

Dorothy Ianniello, 89, beloved wife of the late Joseph L. Ianniello passed away peacefully at home on June 25, 2021. Born in Staten Island, NY on April 21, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Rose Girello. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her siblings: Mary DeSalvatore, Rose VanClef, Frank, Fred, Michael, Paul, Richard, and Vincent Girello.

Dorothy was the loving mother of Linda Sobkowiak (Paul), Joseph Ianniello (Joanne), and Richard Ianniello, Grandmother of Scott Sobkowiak (Aimee), Keith Sobkowiak (Melissa), Gina Ianniello (Matthew), Joseph Ianniello, and Jamie Ianniello, Great Grandmother to Madelyn, Cailyn, Lyla, Fynn, Bryce, and Aubrey Sobkowiak.

A lifelong Staten Islander, Dorothy graduated from Port Richmond High School in 1950. After raising her family, she worked at Buy-Rite Liquor Store on Forest Ave for over 35 years. In her free time, Dorothy enjoyed spending time with family, rooting for the Yankees, sitting on her porch talking with neighbors, and taking walks around the neighborhood.
