Dolores Bowers

Dolores Bowers, age 93, of Staten Island, New York passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022. She was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Goetz on June 3, 1929. She attended McKee Vocational High School, where she met her late husband, Edward Bowers. She worked for the NYC Board of Education as a supervisor for lunch aides in PS 54, where she retired after 25 years.

Dolores loved to cook and spend time with her family, which took the form of weekly Sunday dinners. Her favorite meal was pot roast. One of her loves was dancing another was the race track. She likes to travel to places like Atlantic City, Aruba, and Hawaii.

Dolores is survived by her son, Robert; daughter-in-law Jill; a grandson Robert, Jr.; a granddaughter Kristin, grandson-in-law Patrick O'Carroll; eight great-grandchildren, Hailey, Lilly, Gracy, Emily, Patrick, Aubrey, Michael, and Chloe.

A visitation for Dolores will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Casey McCallum Rice South Shore Funeral Home, 30 Nelson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10308. Following the visitation will be a committal service from 10:30 AM to 10:45 AM at Moravian Cemetery, 2205 Richmond Road, Staten Island, NY 10306.
