Denise A. Le Ny

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Denise Le Ny passed away on September 14, 2023 at the age of 79. Denise was born on June 6, 1944 to Ernest and Esther Girouard in Montreal, Canada, where she lived with her siblings, Claire Lepinay and Ernest Girouard. Denise married Amedee Le Ny on September 11, 1965 and emigrated to the United States in 1970. Denise retired from a law firm after a successful career of over 30 years. She had a love for all animals and would often help abandoned and stray animals. We will always fondly remember her love of music and dancing. She was known to be smart and funny with a lot of spunk.

Her memory will live in our hearts. Denise is survived by her four children, Yannick Le Ny, daughter-in-law Arlene Rivera, Helene Le Ny, Eric Le Ny and Philippe Le Ny. Grandchildren, Sean Diluzio, Jon-Michael Le Ny, Jakob Le Ny, Madison Le Ny and Liam Le Ny. Brother, Ernest Girouard, nephews Patrick Girouard, Martin Girouard, Olivier Girouard, Christopher Le Ny and nieces, Jeanine Le Ny and Ariane Girouard.

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. A celebration of life will be held on September 26, 2023.

A memorial service & visitation for Denise will be held Tuesday, September 26, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Harmon Funeral Home, 571 Forest Ave, Staten Island, NY 10310.
