Deidre Ann Edwards (nee Batson) died on February 3, 2024 in Staten Island, New York after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Deidre was born in Gravesend, Brooklyn on October 22, 1948. She was a spirited woman whose top priority was always family. One of her favorite traditions was overdecorating her home inside and out for Halloween and Christmas. She loved animals, and throughout her life always had at least one dog who she spoiled rotten. She worked as a cook at Our Lady of Good Counsel for over 30 years and was beloved by all of the students.
She is survived by her husband, William, her two daughters, Dawn and Tiffany, and two grandchildren, Kristie and Brittany. Deidre is also survived by three brothers and two sisters.
