Dr. Remine was a mentor and friend. I will miss our talks in the "tree house" and our debates about everything under the sun. My condolence for his family and friends. We lost a wonderful person, but heaven has gained an angel.

Daniel had a most original mind and a very giving spirit. His tastes were never ordinary. Yet, he would be a guardian ad litem when necessary and was often referred to by the people he had assisted as Lawyer Daniel. His joy was his wife, Deborah. And his joyful place in the world were Les Jardins du Luxembourg. we listened to Jacqueline du Pres together and many times we celebrated the Fourth in Central Park with wine and good cheese. He lived his life fully. And to quote Ralph Waldo Emerson, " Our chief want is someone who will inspire us to be what we know we can be."
