Carol, also known as Tootsee to family and friends, was born December 2, 1936. The daughter of Charles and Danetta Clark. She grew up on Staten Island in Mariners Harbor and graduated from St. Peter’s Girls High School. Carol met her future husband, Martin V. Stallone Sr. at her family’s roadside diner, the Skyway when she was 18. They married on November 3, 1956, spent 43 love-filled years, and raised three children together before his untimely passing in 2000.
Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother (GG). She was an avid bowler and played in a women’s league for many years. She loved teaching and playing mahjong and bingo, trips to Atlantic City, crossword puzzles and lots of candy crush. Carol loved spending the winter months in Florida and enjoying the company of her grandsons and great grandchildren when she returned to her Jersey home. Above all, Carol was a diehard Mets fan who loved David Wright and never missed watching a game.
Along with her husband, she is predeceased by her parents, and her brother Charles Clark. She will be dearly missed by her younger brother Roger Clark and his wife Dorothy and her sister-in-law Claire Clark. She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Stallone, and Laurie Stallone along with her son Martin V. Stallone, Jr., and his wife Patrizia. Carol is cherished by her five adoring grandsons, Shaun Duwe and his wife Jenna, Adam Duwe and his wife Sharon, Martin V. Stallone III, Cole Martin Joshua Stallone, and Salvatore Stallone. She is beloved by her four great grandchildren Alexis, Scarlett, Annabelle, and Luke. Carol also leaves behind many dearly loved nieces and nephews.
Visitation Monday will be held on June 28, 2021, at 3:00 pm to 7:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial Holy Child Church will be held on June 29, 2021 at 11:00 am. Entombment Cemetery of the Resurrection will be held on June 29, 2021.
