Angelina and I were married 55 years
When we met we were co-workers at Chemical Band and it was not love at first site but I wore her down. We went on a few dates over a period of time and shortly after we had our first big test. I was going into the air force where I would serve for 4 years. When I left for boot camp, we said if we are still here in 4 years, we will know it is true love. After I got home from the air force, she was still there so I asked her to marry me and she said yes.
Before the wedding she went on a bike ride with her nieces. She had an accident and broke her leg and we were about to get married. Did she postpone? Of course not!!! I I waited for her at the altar and there she was walking down on Crutches and a full-length cast.
Now let's talk about the family she grew into. First it was the Nork's becoming a sister to all and an aunt to my sisters Terry and Mary Jeans children.. Later on, the same thing happened with the Rivera's inheriting this family as well becoming a mother and a grandmother. Selflessly devoting her whole life to family.
When she lost her sister Diane and then her mother Momsie, she was left with a void. That void was filled by watching her small grandchildren grow into the beautiful people they have become. Watching Anjela graduate from college, Eva's graduation from high school, Marionna's sweet sixteen, and anticipating Kenzie's sweet 16 and knowing that Jacob will playing for the Mets. She's very proud of you all.
Looking at all of you today demonstrates the legacy that she leaves behind and me knowing that she will never be forgotten.
