So sorry for hour loss. Ican remember the times we spent in the service together. He booked a flight back to SI with my Father  and never told me . I think we spent about 24 hr there and just made it back to base in time roll call. My he rest in peace. Our prayers are with you. Joe and Ursula Clyde NC.


Al was truly one of a kind. His smile and mellow personality would put us all in a good place.  He loved to cook and have a party and for my wife and I , we always looked forward to going to the Schneider’s . Over the years, our trips to London and Italy with Al and Shelia were the best anyone could imagine. Al knew the history of every place we went and acted as our tour guide. Needless to say Al would aways video us and the unbelievable places we visited. I would call Al , Cecil b. De Mille.  He will truly be missed.

This saddens me as I always loved seeing Al & Sheila  they always came into Brighton collectibles for all their gifts for the nieces and nephews. Sheila would look around while  Al sat in his favorite chair I loved giving him whatever treats we had for the day .
Al always had the deciding decision 
I’m glad I was able to see him not that long ago  ( I was so jealous of his tan.)looking good and always with that smile on his face

Dear Sheila,
            I am extremely saddened to hear of Al's passing and my sincerest condolences. He was at one time a very close friend. We met in our 70's bowling days at Colonial Lanes. Now a quick trip for ya down memory lane. My soon to be wife Laura and I were getting married on June 24th 1984. Yourself and Al couldn't make the wedding due a previous commitment. You guys picked us up a week before the weeding for a nite on the town. I think Al had a Cadilllac back then. We went to the Marina Cafe fand you guys treated to an awesome nite of dinner, drinks, dessert, and great conversation. Nite being just about over you dropped us off and Al opened the trunk and you guys gave us the most gorgeous gift. Eight fine crystal champagne glasses with our initals etched into them. Today I still have two. Laura and I were divorced a few years later unfortunately and she has the others.  I will never forget our friendship and that amazing nite. Love you guys always. I am retired and living in Florida for 4 yrs now and a few weeks ago had shoulder surgery. Cannot drive or fly or without a doubt I would be with you this weekend.

From the first time we met, decades ago, we always admired the intrinsic beauty of Al’s spirit. His presence invariably exuded kindness, warmth and a humbleness, that effortlessly put people at ease, with joy in their hearts.  Al certainly achieved what most of us hope for, but not everyone attains: he left this world a better place for having lived, spreading his light, filled with happiness, compassion and love! 
May you rest in peace Al, and may your soulmate Sheila and all your loved ones be comforted with warm memories of you, until you meet again.

I knew Al for 32 years at the condo upstate so many great memoirs. We called each other and shared our many medical issues together and laughed at how getting old sucked.  A night of food and laughter. I will miss Al very much as everyone who know will. good bye old friend love you. Joseph Marrone. 

So sorry to hear of Al’s passing.  He was a such a wonderful and caring man.  He was always so welcoming and greeted  you with a warm hug and smile.    I’m glad I had the opportunity to see him last month for lunch.  You will be missed.  Say hi to my Dad!
