Ada was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and raised in Manhattan. She was a graduate of George Washington High School.
Moving to Staten Island, Ada was a homemaker to her family for many years, and then returned to work with the New York State Department of Mental Health at the South Beach Psychiatric Center, retiring after 15 years of service.
Ada was a voracious reader, a New York Yankees fan, and she loved to travel. Ada was predeceased by a daughter, Ellen, and her husband, John.
She is survived by her sons, William, Stephen, and John; daughter, Moira, and six grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Sunday, Nov. 26, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at Casey Funeral Home with Mass at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Teresa's Church in Staten Island.
