Mike Rourk

Stanley - Arthur “Mike” Michael Rourk, 58, of Stanley, passed away at his home on Friday, February 21, 2014 with his loving family by his side. He was born in Monroe and is the son of Christine Barbee Rourk and the late Arthur Woodrow Rourk.

Mike was a graduate of North Mecklenburg High School and retired from Bunting Graphics, Inc. as Regional Manager. He was a member of Lucia Baptist Church since 1992.

Mike was an avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting, and fishing and he loved his family and friends beyond measure.

Mike is survived by his wife, Sandy Palmer Rourk; two sons, Aaron Michael Rourk and wife Liz of Stanley, Richard Travis Rourk of the home; mother, Christine Barbee Rourk of Charlotte; 2nd Mother, Marilyn Rourk of Dallas; one brother, Gary Rourk and wife Susie of Charlotte.

A Celebration of Life Service for Mike Rourk will be 4:00 p.m. Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Lucia Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Davis officiating with a reception to follow in the Fellowship Building.

Inurnment will be at a later date.
