Mary Eugenia Rutledge

A native of Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late Olin Goode and Eugenia Shelton Moore.

Mrs. Rutledge was a faithful lifelong member of First United Methodist Church in Stanley.

She is survived by her son, Ralph M. Rutledge and wife, Melissa Magee of Stanley; step-son, Joe Graham Rutledge, III and wife, Ola of Salisbury; brother, George Moore and wife, Faye of Stanley; special friends, Patricia and David Abernathy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Graham Rutledge, Jr.; sisters, Frances M Abernathy, Muriel M Reep; brothers, Pascal D Moore, Harry Moore and Samuel W Moore.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Stanley with Rev. Noel Sweezy and Dr. J.C. Grose officiating.

Burial will be at Stanley City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

She was devoted to her family and to her church.
