Brenda Summey Deason, 65, passed away with her family by her side on January 14, 2016. She was born in Gaston County to the late Charles and Martha (Spearman) Summey.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her husband of 46 years, Luther Deason; children, Danny Deason (Joyce) of Stanley, NC, and Sandy Deason (James Richard, fiancé) of Stanley, NC; granddaughter, Emily Barber; brothers, James Summey (Ruth) of Blacksburg, SC, Ronald Summey (Debbie) of Bessemer City, NC, sister, Sara McKinish of Raleigh, NC.
She was preceded in death by three siblings, Charlie and Troy Summey and Shirley Petterson.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Carothers Funeral Home in Stanley, NC.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to the memorial service.
