William R. Burkhart, a Stamford resident for 59 years, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2010, at Stamford Hosp. He was 83. Born January 27, 1927 in Johnstown, PA he was the son of the late Raymond and Alma Bracken Burkhart. William was predeceased by his loving wife Doris McAuliffe Burkhart, his brother James R. Burkhart of Johnstown, PA and his Sister Dolores Waronek of Windber, PA. William worked at Clairol for many years and also worked for Kilduff Auto Sales. He was an avid fisherman. William is survived by his sister Alma J. Wilson of Stamford, CT, several nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 from 4-8PM at Bouton & Reynolds Funeral Home 2900 Summer Street Stamford, CT.
