Walter G. Ginter, Sr., 90, died peacefully Saturday, May 7, in Stamford.Born in 1921 in Avoca, Penn., one of ten children born to John Ginter and Helen Kusak, Mr. Ginter is survived by three children: Mary Ann Armstrong (David) of Bluffton, S.C.; Elizabeth Hogan of Stamford; and Walter G. Ginter, Jr. (Donna) of Stamford. He was predeceased by his wife Ann, son Robert M. Ginter, and son-in-law, Raymond F. Hogan. He is also survived by nine loving grandchildren.Mr. Ginter was a proud Army veteran of World War II, serving his country in the South Pacific attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. Upon his return, he established and operated Belltown Air Conditioning in Stamford until his retirement. He was passionate about golf and was Club Champion at multiple local courses. He was also an avid Red Sox fan. A memorial mass will be celebrated on June 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gabriel’s Church, 914 Newfield Avenue, Stamford.
