Valentin J Joseph

75, of Stamford, CT., died on Friday July 1st, 2011 at the Rosenthal Hospice Residence in Stamford. He was born in Damassin, Haiti, on Tuesday the 28th of April 1936, resided in Stamford for the last thirty years and former worker at ACME. He was the son of Auguste Joseph and Rozema Bolivard. He was known to family and friends as “André or Zon”, nickname given by the family.

Mr. Valentin is survived by his daughter Cathie Joseph and her husband Edvard Fiéffié of Norwalk, CT; his step-daughter Carline Germeille of Stamford, CT; his brother Roswalt Bourjolly and his wife Christine of Queens, two brothers Onel and Penel Joseph of Haiti and a sister Planette Joseph of Haiti. He also survived by many cousins Antoinette Joseph, Rose-Rene Joseph, Jacques Joseph, Madeleine Joseph and fr. Bonard Joseph of Haiti; Aude Joseph and Jude-Marie Joseph of Canada, Marie Clairmine Joseph and her husband Henry Gedeon of Stamford, Vivianne Joseph and her husband Pierre-Paul Mareth of PA, Fleurise Joseph and her husband Dr. Patrick Paul of Stamford; Marc-Aurele Henri, Pierre-André Henri, Paula Henri, Marie Josette Henri and Pierre Francois Henri of Canada; his first cousins Roosevelt Montinor, Carlens E. Faustin, Richcard Mareth, Carl E. Mareth, Henry Jr. and Carrl-Henry Gedeon, Patrick O. Paul, Larissa J. Faustin, Winny J. Mareth and Aissa Paul; and his unforgettable friend Nicolas Jean Guillaume.

His family welcome all relatives and friends on Friday, July 8th from 5:00 Pm to 9:00Pm at Leo P. Gallagher Funeral Home, 2900 Summer Street, Stamford, CT 06905. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 9th, 2011 at the Basilica of Saint-John, 279 Atlantic Street, Stamford, CT 06902. Interment will follow at Saint John Cemetery , 25 Camp Ave in Darien, CT.
